Question Motherboard for amd ryzen 1600 with 3200 mhz ram support

I have just ordered amd ryzen 1600 dor 79usd from ali express including free shiping

now i want to order motherboard

it should be of b450 chipset which has overclocking feature from bios or cpu and ram

also suggest which ram should i buy i am looking at 3200mhz ddr4 16gb 2 8gb sticks

motherboard should be around 80 usd i dont need very high mobo

3200 will be sketch for any Ryzen 1000 processor. That's because the memory controllers in those chips weren't as mature as the 2000 and especially the 3000 chips. Just a warning and caution to temper expectations.

By all means get at least a B450 board... preferably one with only 2 DIMM sockets. One suggestion being MSI B450M Gaming Plus. The reason is that B450 boards use daisy chain topology which overclocks memory much better but only when 2 DIMM's installed. Not having the other two (empty) sockets loading the data traces makes it that much more stable at high clock speeds.

Also be sure to update to the latest BIOS but one BEFORE any Ryzen 3000 BIOS's.

i have a bad experience with 2 dims slot mobo my mobo had 4 slots and 2 of them were damaged and not working but still i had other 2 working

what mhz ram should i go with , 2666 or 3000 or 3200 as i will upgrade to ryzen 3000s when they will be cheap just like 1xxx seried now

And besides, it's somewhat rare a careful builder will experience a damaged DIMM socket. In my world-according-to-Garp perspective it's happened to you once so what are the odds it will happen again? But if that's a primary concern, then so be it.

They call it the silicon lottery for a reason, playing it with two DIMM slots just stacks the odds in your favor. A little.

2 ram slots are fine as you described i just shared my thoughts on it i am confused about ram setup should i go with higher speed like 3000 or 3200 ? as i will be upgrading after 2 years

Memory is much cheaper now so definitely go as high-speed as you can...even if it's 3400 or 3600. I believe someone should always try for the highest memory speed they can afford. Just don't expect to get a 1600 above 2600 unless you tweak at sub-timings. Even then 3400 and 3600 are probably not achievable until you upgrade to the Ryzen 3000 but at least you don't have to twice-buy memory to get it and it may be back up in cost by then.

so there will be no conflict if i use 3200mhz ram with 1600 it will be slowed down to 2666 right ?
