Hi. I am looking on ebay to buy a used cheap motherboard DDR3 (or DDR2 but I prefer DDR3) for core 2 Quad Q6600 slacr. Memory Ram up to 8GB. I have found MSI G41M-P25 MS07592 VER 6.0, Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT REV 1.0 , Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT REV 1.1 and MSI G41M-P26 MS-7592. Which is the best? Thank you in adcance!

They all have the same G41 chipset and use DDR3 ram. The only things you should really worry about are whether they have enough slots for addon cards. The P25 has 6 audio ports and the S2PT has an extra PCIE 1x slot as well as the same amount of PCIE16x and PCI slots as the other two.

Thank you. What is the difference between Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT REV 1.0 and Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT REV 1.1 . (revision 1.0 and 1.1). 1.1 is some $ more expensive

The revision is usually just some kind of component change to make the hardware cheaper or an improvement. Sometimes it's a slight redesigns for the same basic hardware with v2.x or higher revisions, but not enough of a change to make a new model. I have no idea if the S2PT 1.0 is better or worse than the 1.1 and generally both will perform exactly the same and have nearly all identical components. The seller is probably marking it up to squeeze a bit extra money out of uninformed customers, but as long as it's not too much higher in price, I would usually go for the higher revision number.

If you update the motherboard bios, pay attention to the revision number on the support page so you download the correct version, which will usually be different among the same models. The motherboard revision number is usually on the bottom left or right near the expansion slots or front panel pins.
