Motherboard for i5 6500

I have a GTX 970 and an I5 6500 and do not plan on overclocking.

Which motherboards do you think I should consider?

I like MSI and Gigabyte the most.

If you don't plan on adding a second gpu or overclocking you're fine getting an entry level board like this!

I'm considering MSI B150 Gaming M3 or the MSI Z170A Gaming Pro

Both great choices - the only thing I'd watch out for is LAN drivers - you want Realtek or Intel. Avoid Killer like the plague!

Case is very subjective here - since you're not overclocking or adding a second GPU you don't need to worry too much about heat (unless you live in the desert or something).

Honestly I have a pretty expensive build in a Corsair Spec-01 - it's a $50 budget case I added I and 2 fans to and it works great. (I have a i5-4690k and GTX 980) with neither overclocked.

Most new mid-atx cases will fit your gear - just pick one that looks good and fits your budget. I like Corsair, Phanteks, and NZXT the most.
