I was designing a new computer with an i5 7400. Looking at all the stuff about chipsets etc, many websites said that a BIOS update would be needed using an older Skylake Processor. My questions are:
A) - Is a BIOS update required if I use a motherboard with a series 200 chipset
B) - What socket would be best for this chip? I've seen LGA 1151 and LGA 1155 mentioned
C) - Does anyone have any recommendations for a mid-range board which could use this chip (preferrably with built-in wifi adapter)
Thanks

A) No it is not.
B) LGA 1151 is the ONLY socket that the CPU can use.
C) Any B250 Motherboard would be fine but you might have to invest in a H270 to find one that comes with WiFi built into it.

All the Motherboards i found on PCCP with WiFi are all Mini ITX but if that doesn't matter to you then see here > https://pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/#c=120,121&sort=a8&e=31,15,30,14,6,8

Hope this helps :)
