[SOLVED] Motherboard for i7-2600k

Hi,

I would like to upgrade my pc with a M2 SSD because my current SSD is very small and if I buy a new one it will be one I can use for ages. Unfortunately, my Motherboard does not have pce3 (only pce2). Which Motherboard would you recommend if I want to keep my i7-2600K processor?

I do not know of any motherboard for LGA1155 that supports M.2 SSDs.

I suggest you keep your current motherboard and add a 2.5in SATA SSD. Preferably a good one like a Crucial MX500. The performance difference between a good M.2 NVME and a good 2.5in SATA SSD is not noticeable in normal usage, especially with such an old system.

Thanks, then I'll probably just upgrade to a SATA SSD and more RAM. I need this because I will have to read, write and chrunch some number.
