Dear Tom's community,

I've had this board for like 2 years and its been a good boy serve me very well either on graphic design or gaming, suddenly yesterday i turn it on, all lights, fans is running but nothing in the monitor.

At first I suspect my R9 270x is to blame, but after i take out my GPU I can see 1 capacitor is gone & the other 1 is almost snap. The label is gibberish to me, I know how to solder it back but the problem is being able to identify a replacement, and where to get one. The capacitor is small and located on the edge by the PCIE slots. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The motherboard model is a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P Rev 1.0

The capacitor is labeled as follows.

Hey i have this problem too. I think those capacitors are badly placed because i know how mine broke. I broke them when i finished cleaning my pc and when im putting back my gpu i accidentaly hit one of those capacitors and it snapped. But it still worked for me for about a year maybe. Then after a while i replaced my video card and used my brothers 960. Still worked for a long time and by the time my bro had taken back his 960. I put back my 750 again and it still works but only for about 1 day.

Now i dont know if the problem is my gpu or the board. Because i didnt store my gpu properly and it got a little bit of corrosion due to moisture. Tried to clean it but no luck. Everytime I turn on my pc there is a beep indicating that its not detecting any video card and i noticed that my gpu fan is not spinning.
Is your gpu fan spinning or not? Because if it is not then i can assess that maybe my problem is the board. But if it is atleast spinning then maybe my real problem is my gpu.
Can you please tell me because im looking on replacing my gpu.
Thanks!

This is the missing capacitor. I only lost one and still hoping that it will still work. So i will only get a new gpu
