Hi there,

I have GA-Z170XP-SLI mothermoard from Gigabyte. I've installed Samsung NVMe M.2 SSD 980 on it. It recognised by system BIOS, but it's not by Windows 7. Samsung support told me this SSD doesn't recuire driver. But it doesn't work on Windows 7. Windows doesn't see this SSD. Probably I have wrong BIOS settings, but I'm not sure where should I change the settings. Thank you in advance!

"but not by Windows"

Does it appear in Disk Management?
Please post a screencap of your Disk Management window.

Try on windows 10.
No. This is not a choice for me. I will stay on 7. Otherwise Unix, but not M$ 100500%.

Does it appear in Disk Management?
No, it is not. Otherwise no questions. There is no such disk. Believe my without screenshots.

It's somewhere with "Storage Remapping option" according to Samsung Installation Guide, but I can't see such option in my motherboard BIOS.

Its hard for us out here to diagnose with seeing any screenshots.
There is exactly one person on the planet looking at what you see. You.

Have you looked in the motherboard manual in Section 1-8, for possible conflicts with your other drives?

Windows 7 natively doesn't support NVME.
2 hotfixes and NVME driver has to be installed to add support.

You can get required hotfixes and nvme driver from Gigabyte windows install tool.
Choose download for Intell 100 series boards.
Extract zip archive and find included hotfixes and nvme driver.
