Hi! I'm looking at pre-ordering BF3 with my PC purchase, or getting a better motherboard!

Current one: GIGABYTE GA-M68MT-S2 AM3+ Micro ATX
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128529

The 'Better' one: GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 AM3+ ATX
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128519

I'm really excited for BF3, but I'm not sure if the 6870 will handle it at good settings. I'd also save a few bucks by choosing the motherboard.

But seriously, BF3!

And if I pre-order I get all these cooleo things like bonus flechette rounds for mai shotty and 4 classic BF2 maps. D:

Help?
Thanks!

e: Okay, 12 views. Is it really that hard to just type 'BF3' or 'Motherboard'?

It sounds like you are either going to get the game or the motherboard. Not sure what you're asking. Which board to put in a new pc?

Go with the better motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 AM3+ ATX. Everything else can be bought later and added on as you go.

Basically, I'm deciding between a 55$ Micro ATX w/ BF3

and

a 95$ ATX motherboard (higher quality)

I'd opt for the latter, but this is a one hit wonder. I get it all now; won't be able to buy anything else for a considerable amount of time. And as I mentioned in OP I'm on the brink of marrying this game from the gameplay videos.

So really, the only difference is that I'm quite terrified the microatx will short out quicker, and I've read online that you should splurge on your Mobo.

Thanks for the reply! :)
