hi evryone.

specs first.
i6700k stock settings.
mobo Asus b150 pro gaming
dark rock pro3 cpu cooler

I was testing some setting in my favourite game and so I diceded to monitor my cpu and gpu usage. Then I noticed that my cpu was running realy hot. it ran at 100°c. I was shocked to see that. since it was probably for a while. I can make this claim if I compare the noise my pc makes while is noticed this and it was not more then it makes while doing normal gaming. Then I noticed my mobo was giving way to much voltage. it pushed 1.43 volts. I did not OC'ed anything only my ram is at xmp settings. that's all I tweaked in my bios.

Now I wonder. is my cpu wrecked? have the pc for a bout a year or so? don't really remember but skylake was just released. I already ordered a new mobo.. since I really lost trust in this one. the Asus MAXIMUS IX HERO.

well i have 6700k as well, without any settings it was at 4.2ghz with turbo with 1.33v or something. I OC to 4.4ghz and it runs fine with 1.28v. They overdo it with the voltage i think.
