Okay so first time posting and I think I screwed it up somehow. But anyway gotta re write all that.
My components are
Gigabyte Ga-f2a88xm-d3h
Amd a10 6800k
G.skill ddr3-1866 pc3- 14900 4gig x 2
Corsair 600w PSU
And my old hard drive and video card.
I bought the ram, cpu, and motherboard in a combo from newegg. When it came I put it all together in my case and everything got power but no display. I am 100% sure the everything was in its proper spot. But I decided to take it all out and just hook up the motherboard, cup, and ram on some cardboard, same thing. I tried 2 brand new PSU, two different screens alone with both vga and hdmi slots in the motherboard and on my video card. No luck. The motherboard didn't come with a speaker so I couldn't do that. But on a closer look my motherboards revision is 3.0 when I think it should be 3.1 to be compatible with the cup. That's my only guess.
So my two questions are could an old revision cause there be no display? And if so how can I insure I get the 3.1 when I RMA the board. Thank you for your time.

So I would need a new hard drive to even get to the BIOS? I just figured you could at least get something to come on the screen even with an old OS installed.

No, you should get a BIOS/UEFI display even with NO hdd installed at all. Something isn't right. I looked at Gigabyte's website for your rev 3.0 board. Your A10 6800K IS supported on the Rev 3.0 board from what seems to be since the original BIOS version, so that isn't the problem. If your sure you hooked everything up properly, do you have an other ram sticks available to try? Any lights on the motherboard lighting up when it's powered on, this could indicate where the problem is as well. Also, down the road, a fresh install will need done for your hardware to be properly recognized/installed. Otherwise, you'll most likely get a BSOD booting Windows, or some kind of deactivation warning because of changing the motherboard.

Sorry been trying to reply fir a while now but phone being dumb. But the only lights i see are fire the ethernet port. I only have the two sticks of ram i bought, but i don't think both could be defective. But i don't have a way to know for sure. Thank you guys fire the fast response.

Yeah the hdd i have now is the only one i have. But i just wanted to use it cause all my old data. But i could take what i want off it and reinstall windows. I still have the CD and the serial number. But thank you i would not have known that otherwise.

I see that is the RAM you have, but I'm actually looking for the actual model number for your G.Skill RAM. An example would be something like F3-1866C9D-8GAB. This is the type of information needed for the crosscheck. Again, what this info would be helpful for is Gigabyte checks specific kits of RAM for each of their motherboards. If your specific kit is listed, then it should be pretty much guaranteed to work short of being 2 bad sticks (unlikely). I was just asking about alternate RAM as sometimes certain kits/modules installed into the motherboard can have compatibility issues. However, as the was purchased as a Combo from Newegg, this shouldn't be a problem. Just trying to narrow down the possibilities.

Ah i see my bad. The model number is F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR. Unfortunately i don't have any other RAM, when i bought the new psu for my old system there was an issue so i sent it in along with my old motherboard. I left my old RAM on it by mistake and the motherboard was returned with out it. Actually i think i have some old ram buti think it like ddr2.

Well, did some more checking, and your RAM is indeed on the QVL for Gigabyte. That means it's definitely compatible/tested. I doubt both sticks would be bad as well. Have you tried moving them around to different RAM slots on the motherboard? I've also read if you overtighten the CPU cooler, this can cause problems as well. Also, when everything powers up, does the CPU cooler fan and Videocard fan stay at a constant speed/sound level, or do they slow down after a few seconds? This could tell us whether the motherboard is passing POST or not.

Yeah the fans stay at a pretty constant speed/sound, very quite for the CPU fan and psu, the video card is loud but it's older and was like that on a working system.i also tried moving the ram around. But i can't remember if

Dammit didn't mean to do that. But anyway i can't remember if i moved around just one or both sticks. Let me set it up again real quick so i can give you a better answer.

Okay after that round of testing i did each stick in every slot by itself and with 2. Both fans run with the same speed and no noticeable sound change. I also tried it with and with out the video card. And i was thinking maybe the 8 pin for the CPU wasn't good but on the reverse side of the cpu it was warm. So i think that's running.

Well, since you also tried another power supply, and had same results, it's looking more and more like a bad motherboard 🙁 To sum things up, you tried 2 monitors, 2 power supplies, onboard and discrete videocard, both ram sticks which were checked to be compatible with the motherboard in all the slots, checked that everything is plugged in correctly. On top of these checks, both fans never spool down, which would seem to me that the motherboard is NOT passing POST. Normally there should be some kind of fan spin down after a few seconds w/ modern motherboards. I'm thinking it may be necessary to start an RMA. Unless you want to try removing CPU, cables again, reinstalling bare essential parts in case(making sure all standoffs/screws are secured and not causing a short) for a final check. Other than that, I think I'm out of ideas.

Yeah i already started the rma so i just have to print it out and mail it. I just wanted to make sure i did everything i could. It's a bummer to cause i would think a faulty motherboard is rare and it is the first one i ever bought. But thanks a lot you really helped me out and gave me a lot of good info. Just one of those things i guess.
