I have an asrock 970 ex4 and I use open hardware monitor to watch my temps. It said Temperature 2 had hit 110c some time whIle playing. Would upgrading my cpu fan fix this or do I need more came fans?

If you're running a gaming machine it is always a good idea to get an aftermarket cooler for your CPU. Depending on how long the system has been put together and running, it may be a good time to reapply some thermal paste, along with a new CPU cooling solution. One of the temperatures on the motherboard may be for the area around the southbridge or nothbridge chipset. I remember one build I had where the graphics card hung right over my southbridge chipset (which already got incredibly hot) and made the temperature skyrocket. Just make sure you have adequate ventilation and air being moved front to back over the motherboard and you should be okay.
I am assuming temp 2 is the CPU and temp 1 would be the overall system temp? If this is the case and your CPU is running 110c I would certainly check it has the cooler seated properly on it. Did you install the CPU and cooler yourself? How much thermal paste did you use if so?

Well there are 3 temperatures for just the motherboard. Then I have separate temperature reading for the cpu which didn't say it got nearly as hot. I put the whole computer together myself. I used about a pea sized drop of the thermal Paste. Is it time to reapply? I also only have the stock cpu cooler from my amd-fx 8320e should I just go ahead and get a better fan?
