As I was looking at the motherboard I am going to soon buy for my build, I stumbled upon a section under "Supported CPU's," that was labeled as "GPU frequency".

My question is, can these set a limit on perhaps the frequency of a GPU is going to run?

Just in case it's needed, I'm planning on using the RX 480 and i3 7100 with a Gigabyte GA-H110M-A motherboard and here's the link to that spreadsheet: http://www.gigabyte.us/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=5589

As always, thank you all for your time and help here on the forums! :)

No. The throughput of the GFX card I believe is determined by the PCIe slot's version. PCIe 3.0 x16 will allow for any GFX card.

The section you are seeing is the INTEGRATED(GPU located within the CPU that will be disabled due to the presence of a dedicated GFX card) GPU's frequency. If I am not mistaken, they are the frequencies at idle and load.

Your proposed combination will work perfectly.

Ohh. That makes so much more sense!

Thank you kindly! :)
