Motherboard, Graphics Card or both?

My PC started not sending a signal to my monitor. It happened a couple times before but I would either wait or turn off and on and it would be fine, but now nothing. I checked the cables and the monitor is working fine. Also my keyboard doesn't light up on start (not sure if relevant).

The usual windows start up sounds worked for a while, but since i kept having to turn off and on to check connections, etc it stopped.

The fans work and the computer turns on, so I think it may be the graphics card, but the Keyboard doesn't seem to be getting a signal either so I'm not sure if it's the motherboard or graphics card or both.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers.

I tried this and still got a no signal message on the monitor. I also took out and put back the cmos battery too. Maybe the cmos battery is flat?

P.S. I didn't see boot screen before or after.

Try to clean ram with eraser
remove ram.
Rub eraser on ram pins .
then insert it again.
try diffrerent ram slots.

how you connect your monitor to pc ?
