Motherboard has blown up - Can you help me find a cheap replacement that's compatible?

Hi

So my motherboard died a few days ago and I need a CHEAP replacement. As this is for my old computer, I don't want anything fancy ideally I would like to spend a maximum of around £70. I just want to get the computer up and running again.

If you have any suggestions please let me know?

Your best bet is Ebay or another site selling used motherboards. Those boards are very rare now and extremely expensive if new or nearly new.

Try eBay for Socket LGA 1155 motherboards.

Intel H61 Chipset models would be cheapest. Z77 would be high performance. You can use Micro-ATX or ATX form factor.

Considerations such as purchasing new Windows license might make it worthwhile to buy a current model Intel retail motherboard rather than the discontinued LGA 1155 models.

Ive had a look on Ebay, can you conform if this motherboard is compatible? Will it fit into my case and fit my components? I don't know if what I am possibly buying will actually work with my components.

It's Micro ATX and will be compatible. Your cpu is the k version which allows for overclocking while this particular MB does not. If overclocking is important, look to a Z77 chipset.
