Since the video card is hardware you don't need a screen to 'install' it. And most, if not all of them, allow you to install the drivers after the card is already working.

So, connect the card to your MB, plug your monitor in and be happy :)

Don't forget to make sure your computer is unplugged during the installation process. Once everything is secure hook your monitor up and plug in your computer then turn it on and install the latest drivers for your card.

Your video card and motherboard has a special feature which alerts you when you try to connect one to other with everything turned on... pity this feature is an alarm of smoke rings :D
