this was built around November 23rd 2018 and has ran fine up until today.
i did put this pc together but i haven't had an issue since last night/this morning. it all started last night everything was running fine i decided to go to sleep i shut down my pc and i noticed that my video cards logo sapphire was still on but very dim and it wasn't the blue color it normally is it was more like a green color than blue. i look a little closer and notice a red light on my motherboard was on.
i decided to go to sleep and look into it in the AM, now i get up and notice the video card still has that dim green color on it and the red light is still on the motherboard so i press the power button and everything starts up fans spin up lights come on and after about half a second it clicks and shuts off. now im like wtf so i try it again same exact thing all fans spin up all lights on about half a second and off again.
i then go ahead and flip the power switch on the PSU and unplug the power and the red motherboard light was still with no power being fed to the machine so i then pull out the CMOS battery and that shit is still on. now i dont know if thats normal or what but i have never had anything like this happen before. i then check all cable connections make sure everything is plugged in and that theres no loose connections to the motherboard. i also disconnected the gpu pulled it out and put it back in.
as far as the red light goes i checked my manual and it shows that theres 4 lights all next to each other top left is cpu top right is dram bottom left is vga bottom right is boot. the one that was on was cpu then it was vga sometimes both cpu and vga and sometimes alternate between cpu, vga, and dram. after i checked all the connections and took out the gpu the red light went off and then back on shortly after. i plug everything back in and try to start it up and this time it starts up fine but the light keeps going counter clockwise from dram, vga, cpu rinse and repeat only once for a second did the boot red light, light up it just alternated between cpu, vga, and dram.
now the pc is on running fine (havent tried to play any game) no red led lights, sapphire logo is blue again. what has changed is the aorus logon on the motherboard it changed from my preset of blue to like a yellowish orange as well as some glowing lines to the left of the pci-e slots which are yellowish orange as well.
anyone here that can help me out i googled this but i cant find anything specific to my issue regarding the red led on the board and the video card. even though it works now i am worried it may have caused damage or it may happen again if i shut the pc down. let me know if you need any other info i may have forgot to put here. i have noticed when i got it to turn on my memory went down to 2133mhz from 3000mhz as wel ass my video card is running very warm now like 75-78c before it was always at a max of 60c under full load while gaming for hours. as well as i just notcied writing this when i hit tilde and back space together it would create a box in the screen that showed like some sort of glitchy code.
