motherboard help needed

My computer doesn't boot windows properly. At first, it would get to the windows loading screen and then restart. After doing this a few times, the computer restarted earlier each time it was booted until it only stayed up for a few seconds.

I reset the bios and it would then stay up long enough to boot from a windows cd but a few minutes into the installation it rebooted and the boot intervals got shorter and shorter once again.

I swapped out the video card, hardrive, and ram and they all worked in another computer.

Any help would be appreciated.

System specs:
Pentium D 3.4 socket 775
Intel Board D975xbx
two sticks of 512 ddr ram
geforce 7600GT
Sata 80gb

PSU? That's usually the first thing to die in a PC, and it could explain what you're seeing.

Is the computer a recent build? If so, your processor might be overheating. Those socket 775 coolers are a pain.

The computer is about 9 mo. old now. Thanks for the help so far. I'll check those ideas. Any other suggestions would be great just in case.
