Motherboard help please

I am new to switching motherboards. I want to replace the motherboard i have which is a MSI 890FXA-GD70. I want another motherboard for a better CPU for gaming. I have up to 100 to 200$ to spend on motherboard. My question is can someone direct me towards a motherboard in that price which is same size as the one i have now please? I want to upgrade to SSD as well.

My CPU now is a AMD Athlon II X2 250. Or if i dont have to switch the mother board is there a CPU that will fit AM3 that is relevant today for gaming?
and i have 4 LED fans in my computer now if that matters.

Before deciding on a motherboard, you should decide which CPU you wan't. There is no CPU for AM3 that are relevant today, and thus you will need new mobo, CPU and DDR4 RAM.
You will have to decide between Intel Coffee Lake or AMD Ryzen, but you won't get a new system for just $200.

i meant 200 just for the motherboard. so if i chose the AMD Ryzen. could you recommend a motherboard the same size as i have now?
