Motherboard Help

Would a bad motherboard really bog down your pcs performance because my motherboard is by Asus (Model: NODUSM3) and its a Nvidia Nforce 430 chipset. I have a 1000 W Antec Powersupplym with 4 gbs of 6400 mushkin extreme perfomance ram. This question has been on my mind for a long time and is my motherboard a bottleneck? Thanks.

What's your processor, ram?

The motherboard just connects all the pieces together... the speed difference between motherboards is noticeable, but would no way near create a "bottle-neck" situation.
