Hi, so today I turned my pc on and went in to play some GTA V, i noticed on corsair link that my motherboard temp #2 was 79C. My motherboard also has like it seems a leak, which I think is a blown capacitor. Should I keep using my pc? The leak has been there for quite some time.
Mobo: msi 970 gaming mobo, am3+

Solution
Leaking caps (if that is what it is) can cause instability, among other things. Capacitors primary function(s) are to regulate the DC voltage to provide stable power to the components, and in some instances hold a charge for release at a later time.

You'll likely witness instability and, in the worst case scenario(s) you may cause damage to subsequent components.

I haven't experienced a blown/broken/leaking cap causing subsequent damage personally, but it's certainly a theoretical possibility.
