Hello, I am facing the choice of a motherboard up to 180$ for the i5-11400. What are the best motherboards for the price? Let me add that I have 5.1 speakers, so the board must have more audio inputs.

These recommendations of mine are based purely on the Hardware Unboxed video referenced immediately above; I highly recommend that you watch it in it's entirety. Please also note Steve from Hardware Unboxed is referencing the GIGABYTE B560M AORUS PRO (non AX) in the video, with the AX adding WiFi 6 and BT 5.1.

With all that said, while I appreciate the performance of the core i5-11400(F), I personally wouldn't invest in the platform, as I personally believe the highest "reasonable" upgrade path is the core i7-11700(K), where-as AMD's AM4 platform is upgradeable to the Ryzen 9 5950X (16 core) CPU, and presumably will allow the refresh early next year with the tripling of the L3 cache (v-cache). Also Intel's 12th generation Alder Lake is coming out next month. Were it me, I'd wait until next month for Intel's LGA 1700 platform and watch the independent reviews, while also still considering the AMD platform. Even if you have a preference for the Intel platform, and there valid reasons for doing so, their next platform is less than a month away. Just something to think about.
