motherboard io shield sizes

i am looking to keep all my components of my micro atx case and go with a mid or full size case to do a water cooling set but i have little room. I was wondering if atx and itx motherboards use the same io shield sizes so i could put an itx board into an atx case

Hello... ATX and mATX cases... I/O panels and MB's mounting holes are all inter changeable... Mounting holes for the ITX MB, you could check/measure for yourself with your mATX case... if it fits in there then it will fit in a ATX case.

When you look at the cases - they will tell you if they have the mounting for the different mobo sizes. The shield should be the same for both.
