Hey all!
I haven’t built a PC for a while and am learning as I go but this has me stumped...
I have an ASUS B360M-K motherboard, a Gigabyte 1080 TOC GPU and a Sumvision Power X3 800W PSU.
I noticed that the connections from the PSU do not match up with the shapes of the female connections on the GPU and motherboard (EATX12V).
My questions are...
1. I am currently using a SATA to 8 pin converter for the GPU which seems to be working ok - is this ok?
2. I can only use the 4pin CPU connector from this PSU, will not using all 8 pins stop it from booting and if so can I use a 4 to 8 pin converter
3. I haven’t bought the final part yet which is the CPU (i7 1151), I was hoping to see something on the screen when I booted it up, will the PC not post anything unless there is a CPU installed.
Any help would be appreciated
Many Thanks
