motherboard jumper lost should i replace

I have send my computer to be fixed i saw one of the jumpers are gone and not on the motherboard,The computer starts and runs and everything without,So should i put one on it or would it be ok to leave it without one and where should i put it my motherboard is Asus M5a97 LE R2.0 it the jumper close to the sata cables think it one u use to use screwdriver to put computer on if it is lost
 
Well you didn't say that off the start now did you. Then you do need it there to keep power to the real time clock.

You said it starts fine and runs fine, I assumed it was fine. Now the date is reverting back and the fan's spin out of control, which is it?

You probably need it than, it must bridge the power and not just be a dummy terminal on 2-3.
