Motherboard: MCP61SM-AM
Case: silverstone SUGO SG09
Alrighty so to keep matters short, here is the story.
I used to build computers all the time years ago. Joined the army, father was left with all the computer stuff, 7 years later I finally come back and I am trying to get back into it. My little (insert bad word here) of a little sister (5 years younger) decided to use one of computer cases as a storage box to hide things from my father (keep in mind, I placed the computer back in the box before I left). I get back, and it is just gobbed full of Golden needles, and earrings. That and now the cpu heatsink bracket is broken which meant that the heatsink was bouncing around inside the case while my father moved. I have tried starting it up and I have gotten no response except fan noise from the cpu that was originally in the case "Athlon 7750". No video either. I then take my Athlon 5000 from off the shelf, as well as a stick of 512mb DDR2, I place in it a reserve motherboard I have. And everything post. I place them in the non posting board. And I finally get a 1 long beep after another. I cannot find anything on what the beeps mean on this board, so I guestimate.
CPU Power plugged in
Radeon HD 4670 plugged in with power connectors (I did check that the card post on previous motherboard)
Main power plugged into board
CPU fan plugged in
I double check each ram slots with my good ram stick, problem reoccurs. Attempted other DDr2 ram sticks I had on hand, same issue
I switch out my Athlon 5000, to a Athlon 4000+, problem reoccurs
I took out the motherboard after all this to just double check for any damage, and my eyes cannot find anything. I attempted to retest all of this outside of the case, same issue.
I cannot find the post codes for the life of me. And I require assistance in solving this, if it can be solved.
I appreciate anyone's help in this!
