Hi everyone,
I recently built a new computer and have been running into an intermittent issue related to my RAM (I think).
After I got windows installed and got everything updated (BIOS, chipset, etc.) I restarted my system and configured EXPO. I enabled it and left the profile to auto, which had the RAM at 1.35v and at 6000mzh.
My computer does code 15 (which I think is memory training/testing) and then throws code A6. I cleared CMOS, then tried lowering the speed to 5800mzh and it worked until I turned my computer off and tried to turn it on the next day.
I then set my speeds after clearing CMOS to 5600mzh and the same thing occurred. I can reboot and the computer works fine but if I shut down and turn it on again the next day, I get code A6 after the mobo runs through code 15.
I can access bios and get the system to boot after clearing CMOS. This sets my RAM speed to 4800 with EXPO disabled.
Is my assumption correct that this is a RAM related issue? If so, how do I go about resolving it and preventing it from happening? Ideally I want to run my RAM at 6000mzh if possible.
Thank you for any responses and let me know if any more info/clarification is needed.
Specs:
MSI MPG X670E
RYZEN 9 7950X3D
G.SKLIZ 32GB DDR5 RAM with EXPO
