Hello everyone,
Yesterday my PC wouldn't start. I took a look, and the motherboard LED wasn't on. So I disconnected everything and did the paperclip test, and found that my PSU was shutting off immediately after getting power. So I swapped it out with a new PSU, and now I have an issue where the motherboard light will come on then immediately power off. I'm pretty sure this PSU is in fine condition, and I've already replaced the CMOS battery. What should I do next to figure out what's wrong?
Thanks in advance for any and all help. My specs are:
Gigabyte GA Z97X Gaming GT mobo
i7 4790k
2 x 8 GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3
MSI GTX 1080 Gaming 8G
Archer T9E wireless card
WD Black 4TB
Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB SSD
Cooler master hyper 212 CPU cooler
Blue-ray drive
SATA power switch
3 x 120 mm fans
1 x 200 mm fan
Edit:
Old PSU- EVGA Supernova 850W G2 Gold [4 years of use before death, brand new when installed]
New PSU- EVGA 850W BQ [brand new]
