Motherboard lights up when powered, PC will not power on.

I have a ASUS Rampage IV Extreme mobo, an Intel I7-3939k CPU, and a 850W power supply. The parts are around 3 years old, when I try to start it up, it does nothing, no fans spin, no beep, literally nothing, I've tried breadboarding, 1 RAM installed, all I can think off, so this is my last attempt until I just take it to a shop, if you need more info just let me know.

Is the plug turned on? Is it a new problem? was the pc assembled recently? Check that everything is properly plugged in inside and out and test the power cable on something else.

Plug is turned on or the lights on the motherboard wouldn't like up. Yes it is a new problem, computer worked a week before, was unplugged then tried to turn it on, nothing. Nope I reassembled in after cleaning it completely about 3 months ago.

Do you have any ''suspected'' parts that might have failed? Maybe it's the psu that died of old age.

Nothing I suspect dead, it was working fine a week ago.

Try to boot with only os hdd, no ram, no fans and nothing thats not needed like dvd drive and fan controllers, etc. . .

:0 Maybe a failed psu then, try to test it buy a friend or family member. You won't need such a big one, just test with important parts. Keep me updated
