Question Motherboard loses connection to GPU when monitor is turned off ?

Nov 21, 2022
I bought this computer 2 weeks ago:
Mainly consists of:
  • i7-13700KF
  • Gigabyte 3080 GAMING OC 10G (rev. 2.0)
  • MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4
Before assembling the PC, I updated the BIOS to the latest version 7D25v192 to be able to use the 13 gen CPU.

Once everything was mounted and connected, I installed W10, updated everything and installed version 526.98 of the GPU drivers.

The setup consists of 2 x AOC 24G2SU monitors. The problem I'm having is that when I turn off one of the two monitors the other one turns off automatically and if I try to turn them back on they don't receive signal again unless I restart the PC.

I have tried everything,
My theory is that when I turn off a monitor the board "ignores the GPU", even so, if I play a video with volume and disconnect the monitor I also lose the audio and the computer does not react unless I turn it off at 100%.

Any suggestions? The PC is fully functional, the only thing that is strange is that disconnecting a monitor (both turning off and removing the cable) forces me to restart the computer.

If I boot in safe mode, this problem is not happening.
