My PC is a few years old. I have a Z97X-SLI with an 850W Power Supply. As of recent I have had a slight popping/static noise and my friends claim to be able to hear my games through my headset (HyperX Cloud Alpha S) and I had the issue previously with the last headset I purchased. At first, I thought it was the headset, but I realized soon after I might have a grounding problem.

What would be the correct way to go about it to make sure that I don't mess anything up and damage any components. I can provide any other information needed. This headset does use 2 different channels and it is connected through a 7.1 soundcard that came with it. It didn't have this problem originally so I don't know if it is the PC or if it's just another cheap headset.
