hey, im planning on buying the gigabyte b450 aorus pro mainboard along with the amd ryzen 7 2700X cpu and im wondering if i can buy 3200Mhz memory for it or if i should stick to 2933Mhz which is written on memory support on amds website("System Memory Specification
2933MHz") thanks in advance.

Solution
You should be able to get the 3200mhz ram to run with a 2nd generation ryzen and a b450 motherboard. There is no guarantee but I have 3200mhz working with my AMD ryzen 1st generation and 2nd generation should get there easier.

may i ask what kind of ram you got? im thinking to get the HX432C16PB3K2/16 but i read g.skill runs better with amd, its a little out of my budget tho.

My full ram info is in my banner under my messages. The banner shows my ram heavily overclocked, overvolted, and unstable. The kit i have is a dual channel 2x4gb G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 ram kit rated for 3200mhz with 16-16-16-36 timings. That ram runs daily at the rated 3200mhz with tightened timings and auto voltage perfectly stable.

This ram is only verified on the qvl of some z170 MSI motherboards, but yet it works very well in my MSI B350 board. You could double check your motherboards qvl for ram compatability but from my experience most ram should work close to or at rated speed easily.
