Hi, I wanted to get some RAM for my Motherboard :Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P Motherboard.
I saw a good deal on triple channel RAM. But i was wondering if I put in 3gb (3 x 1) of OCZ Ram (OCZ3P1333LV3GK) in a dual channel board.
How Would This Affect My Performance.?
Thanks.
Need reply ASAP special is not for long.

It won't work. You could put 2x1gb out of 3 to work as dual channel. No triple channel for AMD chips and mobos. Right now, only i7s could use memory in triple channel.

But I suggest leaving the 3x1gb alone and get a nice 2x2gb kit instead.

Thx for reply. I believe 2gb wouldnt be enuff for wat i plan on doing. Say If i do put all sticks in.
Wat may happen.?
The 4gb (2x2) are more xpensive then this kit and I rekon 3gb would be perfect for me.
Thanks

I do understand what u guys mean. Im just saying is it better to put 2x1 or 3x1. "AND" if i do put 3x1gb. How will my performance increase/decrease from 3x1 to 2x1.
Thanx

It is not advisable to go with 3x1gb kit if you're not running i7. The purpose of paired kits is that for them to be used, for 3x1/3x2 kits as triple channel and for 2x1/2x2 kits as dual channel. Yeah you would be able to save some money by going with that 3x1 kit that you mentioned but it won't be optimal for your use.
