Motherboard mic doesnt work

Hello so i didnt know where to put this thread sorry...
Well the problem is that i have a new headsets so the first day that i had them they seem to work realyl fine, audio and microphone , both. but today my mic doesnt work and i don't know why. it just cant detect my voice but if i touch the mic it seems to detect it. this happened to me with another headsets. i tried to download the drivers but it still doesnt work 🙁
I don't have a sound card, so i was asking my self if i need a sound card to make my mic work, i dont know...
So the green ( audio ) works but the pink (microphone) doesnt work. It cant also be the motherboard because the problem that i had before this one was in another computer also without any sound card... i dont know, HELP ME 🙁

what headset do you have? you say that it picks up impact butt not speech?

right now OZone oxygen and the other one that i had and happened the same were steelseries siberia. YES it picks up impact, i touch the mic and the green light goes up so detects it, but i speak and it doesnt goes up .

yes but not that much almost nothing compared to the Ozone oxygen

sorry for the extended questioning. your headset really shouldnt be doing this, did the steel series also work fine for a day or so before not picking up mic input?

Yeah arround 1-2 days, and both of them headsets do not work on my other computer..... , do i need a soundcard or it doesnt matter?

no the soundcard isnt necessary. personally id say its your motherboard acting up. just to be sure of that however id ask in the all categories forum.
