Hi guys, i`ve been thinking about upgrading my pc but i have a little problem:
I have a Nvidia Gtx 650ti, and want to change it with the Gtx 970 Palit Jetstream.
Problem is i can`t fiind my motherboard. I checked with dxdiag and command prompt and it says this:
System manufacturer: System manufacturer
System Model: System product name.
I bought this desktop from a well known site here in Romania.
So how do I know if my motherboard will work with the 970 if i don`t know it`s name.
Is there any chance that working with the 650Ti means it will probably work with the 970 too?

Solution
IF you have a 650ti installed, it will work. It might not run at 3.0 speeds but it will run at least at PCIe x16 2.0 depending on the slot specs of the board.

Take the side panel off and look at the board itself. The model should be printed somewhere on the board. You can also look in the BIOS. It may be listed there.

It may not do so on many OEM boards that don't report to the system as his system info report shows. If it was originally a pre-built system, it probably won't report to the utility either. But it might, it's worth a shot. Worst case you'll still need to look at the board.
