motherboard northbridge fan

I have a MSI neo4 platinum motherboard with a noisy northbridge fan. I was wondering what i can do to reduce the fan noise. Can i replace the fan with a heatsink?

My first build and wasn;t expecting this.

Just get a replacement chipset fan they're not hard to change but you do have to remove the M/B to change it.
