So I Bought a x370 with a ryzen 3600 but the motherboard only supports up to series 2 of ryzen. After research I found that I could update the bios using an older gen ryzen to be compatible with the new one. Initially the pc would just boot loop. After installing a friends 1600x, the pc would power on but no signal from the monitor and no power to the peripherals, so I gave up. After reinstalling the 1600x back into my friends pc, his started having the same issue? No signal and peripherals had no power. After I noticed the WiFi adapter was getting power, I attached mouse and keyboard to front panel USB’s and the pc booted right up. What would be causing this? I never tried to unplug peripherals from my new pc when trying to install bios so I’m hoping this is a resolvable issue and I can try again and maybe get it to work. Any help would be great thank you.
