motherboard not comply

hi sir i wonder if i ask my problem i`am in the middle of doing a format to my computer but my hard disk not detect what should i do i`ll change my motherboard or not

(assuming your hard drive is connected via SATA cable and not ATA... can you list your system specifications?)

Are there different colored SATA ports on your motherboard? For example if your hard drive is connected to a red port and there are black ports as well try switching it to the black port. (colors might be different, I'm just using red & black as an example)
