I'll keep it short and simple.
I was playing a game when my screen froze. After I turned off my computer it wouldn't get past the POST screen anymore. Everything would power up, HDD, fans, etc. But no beep, and the screen was black.
When I removed the ram and tried again to fish for a response it beeped 3 times. This gives me hope the mobo isn't dead yet. However when I put the ram back it;s back to no beeps.
I'm using an ASRock 880GMH/U3S3.
I tried reseating the CPU as well, and clearing cmos. Should I just get a new mobo? My power supply is fairly new aswell and everything powered as normal anyway.
I even tried my CPU on someone elses mobo and it did get a single beep and got into the POST screen. However it did get stuck there, but I assumed since it beeped my CPU was in the clear.
I'm out of ideas so...
Any help or ideas would be appreciated
