Motherboard Not Grounded?

I built my first PC exactly one year ago. I admit I was not experienced enough as I should have been. When I built it I had this issue where it would only turn on if the PSU cord was in a certain place or if I played with it a bit. I play a lot of games of thin PC and I still have this issue to this day. I replaced my PSU so that is not the case. I am leaning towards the problem being that the MOBO isn't grounded properly. How do I ground a MOBO properly? Could it be the screws? Is it worth fixing or should I get a new PC?

I was also told that fixing a MOBO that hasn't been grounded for that long is going to make it worse.

Solution
Since you changed out the PSU and are still having problems, we know the PSU isn't the issue. If a slight bump or movement of the case is causing problems, you definitely have something loose. My top guesses are that you missed a mobo standoff or a connector is just barely making electrical contact. First, double and triple check all the connectors. Second, check if the mobo is flexing. Leave the case open and power up. Very gently, push on each corner of the mobo. If it shuts down, you'll know you have a short between the mobo and the case. If you still don't find anything, take it all apart. Then, slowly and carefully put it back together. Double check each step as you go.
The metal stand-offs with metal screws connect the ground of the motherboard with the case. The case is then mechanically connected to the power supply via the metal screws. BUT there are also ground wires in the power supply cable that connect the two.

I remember connecting all of the stand-offs. Could it be something like the GPU not being grounded properly?

No. The PCIe slot provides many ground pins and the rear card plate makes contact with the case.

I am thinking about building an entirely new PC, I seem to have messed up somewhere and it is stressing me out to a point where I will invest another $1500.

After changing the PSU I still have the problem of the PC turning off after a bump or slight movement that causes the power cord to move, I have looked over the cord and what it is plugged into and it all looks fine. Nothing was fixed after getting a new PSU.
