Question Motherboard not lining up with io shield

Hi everyone. First build here, and a little frustrated. Got everything put together and then realized that the io shield doesn't line up with the motherboard. Really doesn't line up. Those grounding prongs are actually blocking the usb ports. I used the standoffs that came with the case, and the io shield is fully seated (I checked a dozen times). I tried taking it all apart and re-installing it but it didn't change a thing. Case is Fractal Design Focus G, and the motherboard is MSI PRO B650M-A wifi. I'm at a loss. I'm afraid that washers will not give the standoffs enough grab, so do I just go buy some longer standoffs? Is this a case or a motherboard problem?
