Motherboard not outputting to monitor.

I have been running into problems with my computer lately. I turn it on, and everything seems right, but the monitor stays blank. I know its not my monitor because it says no input detected or something like that when I plug in my HDMI or my DVI cables. And I know my cables are fine too. I'm starting to think that it has something to do with my motherboard or maybe my GPU. What do you think? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try reseating the GPU if it's on a PCI card.
