I have two MSI B250 Mortar Motherboards and I'm using a Seasonic G series 550W power supply of which I have two also. I have tested the power supply by connecting the green and black pins and turning it on, and the fan spins successfully.
However, when it is plugged into the MB, there is absolutely no resonse from switching the PSU on and the fan no longer spins. I have also tried connecting the case power switch and also connecting the two power switch pins to trigger a boot, but no response.
I have an i5-7600K installed and one stick of DDR4-3000 RAM installed for troubleshooting purposes.
And yes I have correctly plugged in both the 24 pin cable to the MB and the 8 pin CPU power cable.
When I try to turn anything on, there are no beeps or LEDs or fans responding. I have tried all methods of troubleshooting on both motherboards and neither are responding at all. None of the debugging LEDs turn on either.
I would say its a fried motherboard but the chances of buying two of the same motherboards and both of them being dead are very low.
