Motherboard not recognizing 8gb?

I recently installed a P5G41T-M LX motherboard and bought g.skill ddr3 2x4gb RAM. I just upgraded to win 7 64 bit so I can make full use of this memory, but its only recognizing 4! I can't find any settings to change in the BIOS, and msconfig boot options changed but nothing fixed. Any ideas? im pulling my hair out here thanks in advance

Your board should recognize and use 2x4gb and that is good memory. I would run memtest v 4.2 to insure that both sticks are working. If one is bad, you would only get 4 total.

sometime it maybe the cause of cpu which was not seated correctly so my advise is for you is reseated your cpu.
