Motherboard not turning on

So after driving me and my desktop computer back to college i realized my pc wasnt starting right, it would boot down instantly. I opened it up to find that 4 of the 8 cpu power pins were out so i plugged it back in and restarted. It still did the same thing. I spent the next few hours doing things like checking all the cables, reseting the cmos, and changing the ram dim slots.

When i was messing with the ram i did get this once but it never came up again. https://i.imgur.com/TiB0mR1.jpg

I decided i needed to isolate the issue, so i gutted my pc and setup the cpu, mobo, and psu on my desk. Now it wont power at all! The fans wont even spin for a second.

Even if i only had the 24 pin in, i should at least be getting power for a second.

I thought maybe the psu kicked the bucket so i got my multimeter and tested the psu pins and they all seemed fine (on only the load of 3 fans though).

Im really confused and frustrated because it feels like im getting deeper and deeper the further i go, please help 🙁

For now take the video card out and just use the on-board graphics.
Could you identify you RAM in more detail. How many sticks?
Try using just 1 to get the computer running.
Make sure the RAM slots are clean.
Make sure all the power sockets are clean.

Thanks for responding, sorry for not being clear i have 2x4gb ram. Ive tried variations of the dim slots but this didnt and likely wont change the fact that the mobo isnt powering at all right now. If it was just the ram, the motherboard would at least start up untill it relizes the issue and shuts off.

I'm just going by the photo you posted. The message says the stick of RAM in Channel A "did not pass the CPU memory test".

So at the moment you have the motherboard on your desk with just the CPU, PSU and RAM connected?

Its solved!!!

You were partially right. It was combination of two issues. Firstly, from the car ride the heatsink must have loosened a bit. This means the cpu wont start because it needs to have a force pushing it into the socket. And in addition, one of my dim slots isnt working, idk what happened to it but ill just use the other 2.
