Question Motherboard not turning on

Hello everyone, I made this post here a few months. I decided I wanted to take another stab at this computer and it turns out the motherboard isn't' turning on now.

I'm at the end of my rope here with these parts. I wanted to get into IT and start practicing building computers but this computer has gotten me in such a sour mood about the whole thing. I feel like I tried everything and couldn't get the computer to start. Maybe IT isn't for me.. I dunno.

I was wondering if anyone could please direct in the right diretion to get this fixed or just tell me its broken and I can move on lol.

The PSU works, I tested it with a paperclip and it jumped started. BUT it's not giving my motherboard any power, it will flicker for half a second, then do nothing.

Then I tried to jumpstart the motherboard with a screwdriver but that didn't work.

So I'm at the end of the line with this computer, I have a feeling the motherboard is broken. Can anyone confirm or guide me in the right direction to get this up and running?

Paperclip test isn't a foolproof way of knowing that the PSU is putting out the proper voltage, just that it will turn on.

The other post references the possibility of some bent pins. I cannot see it myself, but was that addressed?

What GPU are you using with this rig?

The GPU says "GTX 970 4GD5t OC" Not sure if that's the name or not. I can't even remember how I got it but I know it works cause it works on a different motherboard.

Someone from the imgur post said I needed to plug the 4pin in the top left but my PSU doesn't have a 4 slot connect :/

That would be a good place to start. If you have never had a connector there, I don't see how this ever posted.
