Question motherboard only recognizes 4gb of ram

i put 8gb of ram in my motherboard asus p5g41 m lx, but reconize only 4gb .

any ideia?

Was it the same RAM or did you mix and match?

What operating system are you running and is it the 64-bit version?
Are you sure both RAM modules are fully seated and clipped in?

yes, memory is well placed

bios: recognize 4gb
