I have a Vibox gaming PC. Sometimes it randomly crashes, I think it over heats but usually after a cool time period it starts back up.

This time however it doesn't boot, and when it does it freezes during boot menu. The motherboard feels very hot.

It has a Gigabyte motherboard. Any ideas on how to fix it?

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. List them as:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

The generic brand name doesn't help narrow down the issue. From the way you've described the issue, it might also be that your PSU ins't up to the task provided the crashes you speak of are when you're taxing the system. If the system shuts down when idle, then it's definitely a PSU issue.

On another note, are you under warranty with the system you have at hand?

CPU: AMD FX 4350 4 Core
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA 970A UD3
Ram: 8 GB Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz
SSD/HDD: Corsair GTX Neutron
GPU: AMD Radeon R7
PSU: Corsair CX600M 80+ 600W
Chassis: Vibox Predator Green
OS: Windows 10

Sometimes when it is idle it does crash, any idea why it won't boot up now?

And no warranty.
