Hey guys,

not sure this is a MB PCI port issue or if the GPUs I've tried are actually all faulty (I've tried three, one 3070 TI, on 1060 and one 960).

Long story short, bought a new 3070 TI and monitors wouldn't recognize it (no display detected). I tried three different cables, two HDMI and one DP. I inserted my old 1060 in the PCI slot above the 3070 and it worked, so at that point I knew my system still worked.

Today I bought a new Display Port 1.4 cable and plugged the power back into the 3070 TI but no, it still wasn't recognized by my monitors (I have two, tried both).

I pull out the 3070 and re-insert my 1060, but now that doesn't get detected either! I tried inserting it into both the top PCI port and the middle one. The third one can't be used as it's crowded by the case for the PSU.

Frustrated, I plug in my old 960 that's been lying around since before the stone age, but same issue! Not detected by monitor.

All three cards get power, 3070 has RGB lights that come on, 1060 has a red/white light depending on if the PSU cable is plugged into the card or not, and the 960 fires up the fans from hell.

I check BIOS, which, by the way, I updated to the latest version just to be sure, but that scares me. I check Tool\Graphics Card Information\GPU Post and it tells me that there are no cards in any of the PCI slots.

What do you think? Are my PCI ports dead, and that's why no card works, or are all my cards dead? Or is this something else?

My specs:

CPU: i7 8700K
MB: ROG STRIX Gaming ASUS Z370-H
PSU: Corsair 850W v2
GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB ROG STRIX GAMING OC

BIOS tells me everything is fine and dandy when I run off of the MB GPU, but won't even recognize that anything is plugged into the PCI ports.

Any ideas? Is this PCI or GPU related?

For the sake of relevance to this thread, got a link to the PSU in your build? How old is the PSU in your build? BIOS version for your motherboard at the time of writing? Make and models of your monitors? Are you using a riser cable on your build? OS version if you're on Windows 10?
