Motherboard Power button cable port is broken.

I have a laptop motherboard. I am trying to put the motherboard into a desktop chassis that I had laying around, this laptop has been laying around too so I thought I would put them together I circled in the picture where I think the port used to be.. I was just wondering if I could bypass it somehow.. I know replacing it would just be way too hard and time consuming.. I could buy the same motherboard for 35 bucks but what would the fun be in that? Haha. All help is appreciated!

Hello... My first test would be to touch it will metal foil to determine if it will Boot... and determine the solder Pins/traces being used... and then solder wires to the trace on the Board... connect the Case Switch to those wires.
