Recently I powered up my relatively new system and for a second it would not power on, a single beep was heard, the back led fan kept flashing and I believe I seen a tiny puff of smoke (wasn't 100% sure it was dark, couldn't see or smell any marks).

The computer then turned on the next day and has been working perfectly fine for the past few weeks, with the exception of the peripherals sometimes not being detected.

Feeling paranoid I am planning to replace the psu and Mobo with the current ones I have ( xfx 650w xtr gold. And msi z97 pc mate). As I don't want all my components to die due to either of these.

I am also replacing my graphics card to a gigabyte geforce 1070, would this minimise the chances of any possible damage to my hardware.

Thanks guys
